いいところだよアコソンボ Welcome to Akosombo

我が任地、アコソンボは山あり、河あり、湖あり、ダムあり。。。いいところですよー

My dispatched place Akosombo, Eastern Region is very nice pleace to visit which has montains, River, Lake, Dam etc.

アコソンボダムの広報事務所。アコソンボステーション（マーケット）からすぐの所にあります。

ダムの入場券を買ったり、ダムの構造についてお勉強できます。

This is the publicity office of Akosombo Dam. You can buy ticket for entrance, and you can learn about the structure and function of the Dam.

これがアコソンボダムです。ツアーガイドさんが、ダムのしくみや歴史を紹介してくれます。

日本にいたらダムに行く機会なんてそうそうないだろうけど、行ってみると結構面白いです。

このダムは、ガーナ全土と、トーゴなどの隣国に電力を供給しています。ダムを作るにあたって、ボルタ河周辺の約8万人の人々の故郷がダムの底に沈みました。

This is the Akosombo dam. You may not have much opportunity to visit if you are in your country, but once you go there, it is quite interesting to see. The tour guide explains about the history of the dam and function of the dam.

The dam supply the power to all over Ghana and some neighbor countries such as Togo.

When they built the dam, more than 50 communities for 80000 people where were along the river affected and they had to move.     

ダムの向かいにある、世界最大の人造湖ボルタ湖では、週末・休日にランチつきのクルージングが楽しめます。

In front of the dam, there is the largest man-made lake "Lake Volta"

You can enjoy lunch cruising on the weekends and holidays.

船では、バンドの生演奏が楽しめます☆

On the ship, you can enjoy the live music.

アコソンボコンチネンタルホテルには、小さな動物園があります。

さるやワニ、孔雀などがいます。

In Akosombo Continental Hotel, there is a mini-zoo. You can see monkeys, birds and crocodiles!

Akosombo is just 1.5 hours drive from Accra. You can enjoy the nature and sports and eating and drinking at nice restaurants at river side!

協力隊のいいところ。一つは友人が各地にいること！

行き詰ったときに相談し合えたり、支えあったり。

そして同国内ならお互いの任地に遊びに行ける！ということで先日同期の友人たちがわが任地アコソンボに遊びにきました！！

「大したところじゃないですけど・・・」と言う私に、ボランティアの一人が、「もうすっかり、地元民ような口ぶりだね」と笑っていました。そっかーもうガーナに来て9ヶ月。早い！そして任地に愛着がわいている自分に気付きました^-^
